Obtaining Devices & iPad WiFi Reset

To help students stay connected during remote learning, the DOE is lending internet-enabled iPads to students. If you would like to request a device for a NYC student in your family, please fill out this Remote Device Request.  The DOE will use the contact information you provide to get in touch with you regarding the delivery of your device. In addition to the Request Form, you must also sign the Remote Device Agreement in order for your request to be processed. Priority will be given to students most in need, and all devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per student.

If you are having trouble with your DOE iPad please use this link to view or download the video showing how to reset the WiFi:  video-1600873267.mp4

Internet Hotspots Available from DOE

Hotspots are Available for Students in NYCHA, Shelter, or With No Internet at Home

The DOE has a limited number of donated hotspot devices for schools to give to students who do not have internet at home or who live in NYCHA housing or shelter. Each device comes with a 30 GB plan of monthly data with a two-year service plan. Each hotspot can support up to eight devices.

High school students who do not have internet at home or who live in NYCHA housing or shelter get priority. If there are more devices, we will prioritize middle school students and then elementary school students until we give out all hotspots.

In order for a student to receive a hotspot, the student should not have received a DOE central COVID19 iPad and should not have an active request to receive one.

The student must either:

  • have their own mobile learning device but need internet connectivity at home

  • have a school-based learning device that is not internet-enabled

If you are in need of a hotspot please contact the parent coordinator, Yvette Vasquez at, by Thursday, November 19th so we can request the device for your child.

Once the school receives the hotspots the devices will need to be assigned to individual students.  Please also be aware that our school will have to work with families so that the student and the parent/guardian
